Ask: Is the sun hot or cold?

When the sun is up, it is day.

We can see everything. The trees, the road, the sky.

We play. We learn. We work.

Ask: What can you see outside right now?

9 / 34

The sun goes up high

At midday the sun is high, high up.

It is very hot. Your shadow is short!

Say it: midday.

Afternoon

After lunch, it is afternoon.

School is over. Ama plays with her friends.

The sun starts to slide down the sky.

That is your shadow. The sun makes it.

Ask: Can you make your shadow wave?

We brush our teeth. We say goodnight.

Think about it

  1. What do you see in the sky in the day?
  2. What do you see in the sky at night?
  3. What do you do in the morning before school?
  4. Which animal wakes everyone up in the morning?
  5. Why is it dark at night?
